So I made it to the gym... 20 minutes LATE. But, I got there, and BOY did I have to fight some inner demons to get there, but I won! I did a quick circuit upper body workout with some brisk walking as my 'rest' between sets. It was fast, but I was there, and that was really the whole point for me today!
I did learn something though. If running gets the crazy out, well then, lifting, gets the aggression out. I was frustrated and anxious, but by the time I got to the shoulder exercises, I was already feeling myself unwind. So much so, I could swear you could actually see myself unknot! Something to remember when I think all I really need to hold onto is my running days! Wow!
Now for frustrating news. I already felt like the babysitting at the gym was sort of a stumbling block for me. It is only at certain times and you HAVE to reserve it by 4 pm the day before, and no more than 2 days in advance. Me being the horrible scatterbrained case that I am, it was hell to remember it all. So, they made it worse. Now, it will ONLY be open on Monday and Wednesday, and I still have to reserve it. I think I will take that part up with someone. I am pretty frustrated. Granted, I have not been using it for the last month, but come on! It is summer for heavens sake! Did clue me in to the fact that out of all the women that stay home during the day in my city, there is only one other woman that comes as regularly as me... ONE. No wonder the statistics say that in 40 years the entire country will be obese. No wonder.
