I have not been on here much because I have been busy reading a blog that just might be life changing, and a couple of books. Neither have anything to do with working out and eating right, you would think. The books I bought to help me be a better housekeeper, which I think will help me be a better wife, and momma. The blog, well it is just inspiring beyond my words to describe it.
What does this have to do with being fit and healthy? Well, the blog, it is a beautiful woman with a profound faith in God, with sweet children and a man she is head over heals in love with. Every photo is beautiful (her home is Oh, so beautiful, even better than my dreams!), and most of them are just simple shots of regular life. Her words just emanate the love and joy she has for her family and life. I want to have my words emanate that. I do have love and joy for my family and life in general, but my pessimistic tone kinda ruins that! Words are soo very important. Not only to my own self view, but for my family to hear and feel the love I have for them
There are about 12 weeks till Sweet Love and I go to Cabo. Sweet, right!?!?! Well my first instinct is to get all freaky and plan my life out to the nth degree so that I am svelte and ready for the trip. Thankfully this blog has arrived in front of my eyes.. and I see things a little differently. I am taking pictures more often, so I can see my son grow, and making eating with him a little more of an event. This means that I have to make my meal BEFORE I give him his. Which means, sometimes.. I might have to eat a hot dog in order to eat with him! WHAT? I know! I will state that my tummy does not like the hot dog however! oops!
About the book.. the author talks about how to reclaim the house from a pig pen, into a beautiful showplace. My house ain't that bad, but it has a LONG way to go before becoming a showplace! Anyway... she talks about how the process is a marathon. You plug along, and little by little it gets done. You look back and are amazed by how far you have come. The only way to do this, is small steady steps in the RIGHT direction. Not this no holds bared, blazing trail to the END. Then I thought, wait... if I want this working out, eating uber healthy thing to work out FOREVER... then I gotta see the progress and keep my face towards the goal, and stop knocking the 'slowness' of it all. Marathons are run at 6 minute mile paces, not sub 5 minutes. You know? A full minute is a BIG LONG time in running. HUGE difference. I feel like all my 'past' attempts were at 5 minute mile pace and I was never able to finish. I gotta slow slow slow slow slow down and take it a step at a time. OK, fine. I don't do slow, but now I have to learn. I will learn!
PS, my marathon metal is to have my body looking fit like the women in Altheta. (An online retailer of sporty clothing)

Girl! A 6 minute mile marathon is done by those who've whittled it DOWN to a 6 minute mile by training HARD and running multiple marathons, gaining the experience it takes to pace it right...You've gotta slow down even more!
I have a long wish list from Athleta.
ok..so I've been checking back to see if the life-changing blogname is revealed...
