Yep, I ran a mile last night...

Let me tell you the long story. Yesterday I tried to run in the morning, but it is SO hot in Houston and the sun, oh, the sun! So, my dad said he would hike with me to see the fireworks. It is a mile there and I could run loops around the side streets to make it longer, while he hiked with a weighted backpack, (he is training for a Boy Scout thing late this month). Well, I ran there and my Nike+ told me that it was my fastest mile. 9:02 Not bad considering I walked some of it! So, the whole time we are watching fireworks I wonder how fast I could run a mile if I wanted to. So, on the way home, I left my family and the crowd in the dust! I cannot believe I ran that fast. That is how fast I used to run in college! I am so proud of myself. I love that Nike+ It has pushed me more than I ever would push myself!

Oh, and that means that I ran 2.5 miles yesterday! Now I just have to manage a run today and tomorrow and the rest of the week will be really easy to get runs in!
