I read ALL the time about how beets are so good for you.  They are a sweet treat that your body doesn't even recognize as a sweet, they are good for your digestion, and apparently women are more likely to have candida, and beets, again, are a sweet treat that do not feed the candida!
Soooo, the whole sweet treat thing, you coulda fooled me!  Gag.  No matter how I have tried to prepare them, or disguise them, I think they are NASTY.  Apparently my digestive system agrees with me! haha!  Saturday I made a smoothie with them.  Gag... then this morning I made a beet and celery juice drink.  Gag again.  You should have seen how much Stevia I had to put in that thing just so I could gag it down!  Oh, and then.... like 2 hours later... oh my.  Lets just say, I feel safe in saying it is ALL gone!  It was pretty though... haha, poo, pretty! hahaha!
Too bad since I do love the color of beets.  I am going to try one more way of preparing them.  Then I think I will just give up.  They just taste like dirt!  Oh, and I hear that you can make a delightful choclate cake out of beets.  I might try that too.  I just don't want to give up.  I mean, you know how many NASTY green smoothies I made before I found the ONE that I cannot live without???

I missed this blog. OMG I tried a beet for the first time at Salad Alley a few months ago. Its like eating cold squishy dirt oh its the worst thing I have ever tried. People think they are sweet?????????? Dirt is not sweet. But maybe they would word if you had Pica. lol
