Soo... I was all set to get up and DO SOMETHING this morning... but apparently when I went to bed early last night, I totally spaced and did not set the alarm. In fact, not only did I sleep past 6am, I did not even hear my hubby get ready for work, or put the kid in OUR bed. Yep, I am that tired. The kid must have gone back to sleep, because he woke me up at 8ish.
This tired thing is getting old. I am able to do everything I need to do. It is just that kind of tired I was when I was knocked up. I would find myself on the couch, arm across my eyes, feet up, drooling, and never know how or when I ended up there. I am totally there right now! No, not knocked up. Just sooo sooo tired. Maybe it is my body trying to adjust to the endless sunlight of summer?
On a more positive note, you should see what I made for supper. It was AMAZING! I have been trying to incorporate a lot more raw foods into my diet, so tonight I decided to try a 'chopped salad'. It looked good to me because there is NO lettuce in it! Wahoo! I hate lettuce! (Hence the copious amounts of greens in my green lemonade and green smoothies I drink daily!) Sooo, you add grape tomatoes, zucchini (which is amazingly delightful raw), green onion, corn (raw as well), carrots, green beans (how sad is it that I did not know you could eat them raw?), yellow bell pepper. Chop all that up, and then I put a very tiny drizzle of a dressing I read about in the same book. It was lemon juice (fresh outta my brand spankin new juicer), olive oil, ginger, garlic, and some funky 'raw' soy sauce stuff. WOW. Totally delish. So yummy in fact, that I ate TWO big bowls of that.. and nothing else! Not even the chicken I made! The chopped salad was amazing! I can't wait to have some tomorrow for lunch! Wahoo!
Ok, I really want to write about my whole nutrition dilemma, but alas I am exhausted, so I am going to clean up the house a bit before I find myself drooling on the couch again!
